Radical Politics is a politically independent website run by individuals who want a more just and environmentally friendly society, both in Norway and globally. Our goal is to create a forum for debate and discussion, highlighting analyses, stories, and news that otherwise receive little space online.

Radical Politics is independent and not affiliated with any organizations. The initiative for the website originated from individuals with diverse affiliations—some connected to the left-wing political sphere in Norway, others to environmental, development, and peace organizations, and some to academic and research communities.

Radical Politics has a clear editorial stance:

We seek a society characterized by economic equality and justice, ecological sustainability, and greater democracy, and a global order where great powers do not assert themselves militarily. We aim to achieve this through public debate where perspectives are openly challenged—but we emphasize that we clearly and unequivocally distance ourselves from far-right extremism, racism, antisemitism, homophobia, transphobia, and all forms of hatred, discrimination, and oppression. We uphold a diversity of views and opinions, but not those that threaten human dignity, equality, or democratic values.

We operate according to four principles:

  1. We have the courage to seek truth, even when it is unpopular.
  2. We are critically engaged with power structures.
  3. We stand in solidarity with society’s most vulnerable.
  4. We connect with ongoing struggles and popular engagement for justice and development.
